Vers 1
Neig, o HEER, Uw gunstig' oren,
Om mij in mijn angst te horen;
'k Ben ellendig, diep in nood,
Gans van heul en hulp ontbloot.
Hoed mijn ziel; Gij zijt almachtig,
En ik ben Uw gunst deelachtig;
O mijn God, die mij aanschouwt,
Red Uw knecht, die U vertrouwt.
Vers 2
Wie toch is, als Gij, weldadig?
Wees mij dan, o HEER, genadig;
Want mijn roepen en geklag
Klimt tot U den gansen dag.
Wil de ziel Uws knechts verblijden;
Ondersteun hem in zijn lijden;
Want ik hef mijn hart en oog,
Trouwe God, tot U omhoog.
Vers 3
HEER, door goedheid aangedreven,
Zijt Gij mild in 't schuldvergeven.
Wie U aanroept in den nood,
Vindt Uw gunst oneindig groot.
HEER, neem mijn gebed ter oren;
Wil naar mijne smeking horen;
Merk, naar Uw goedgunstigheên,
Op de stem van mijn gebeên.
Vers 4
'k Ben gewoon, in bange dagen,
Mijn benauwdheid U te klagen;
Gij toch, Die d' ellenden ziet,
Hoort mij, en verstoot mij niet.
HEER, wat goôn de heid'nen roemen,
Niemand is bij U te noemen;
Daden, als Uw grote daân,
Treft men nergens elders aan.
Vers 5
Al de heid'nen door Uw handen
Voortgebracht in alle landen,
Zullen tot U komen, HEER,
Bukken voor Uw aanschijn neer,
En Uw naam ter ere leven.
Gij zijt groot en hoog verheven;
Gij doet duizend wonderheen;
Gij zijt God, ja Gij alleen.
Vers 6
Leer mij naar Uw wil te hand'len,
'k Zal dan in Uw waarheid wand'len;
Neig mijn hart, en voeg het saâm
Tot de vrees van Uwen naam.
HEER, mijn God, ik zal U loven,
Heffen 't ganse hart naar boven;
'k Zal Uw naam en majesteit
Eren tot in eeuwigheid.
Vers 7
Want Uw goedheid, hoogst gerezen,
Hebt Gij dikwijls mij bewezen,
En mijn ziel, hoezeer verdrukt,
Uit het diepst van 't graf gerukt.
O mijn God, de trotsaards spannen
Boos te zamen met tirannen,
Tot mijn dood en zielsverdriet.
Zij ontzien Uw hoogheid niet.
Vers 8
Maar Gij, HEER, Gij zijt lankmoedig,
Zeer barmhartig, overvloedig
In genâ, die ons behoedt,
Groot van waarheid, eind'loos goed.
Wend U tot mijn ziel genadig;
Sterk Uw knecht, en geef weldadig
Ondersteuning aan den zoon
Uwer dienstmaagd, van den troon.
Vers 9
Doe een teken mij ten goede,
Dat mijn haters in hun woede
Mogen zien, hoe, tot hun spijt,
Gij mij troost, en mij bevrijdt.

Psalm 86
1 A Prayer of David.
Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I [am] poor and needy.
2 Preserve my soul; for I [am] holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.
3 Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.
4 Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
5 For thou, Lord, [art] good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
6 Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.
7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.
8 Among the gods [there is] none like unto thee, O Lord; neither [are there any works] like unto thy works.
9 All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.
10 For thou [art] great, and doest wondrous things: thou [art] God alone.
11 Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.
13 For great [is] thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.
14 O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent [men] have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.
15 But thou, O Lord, [art] a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
16 O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.
17 Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see [it], and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.
