Psalm 15
Vers 1
Wie zal verkeren, grote God,
In Uwe tent? Wien zult Gij kronen
Met zulk een onwaardeerbaar lot,
Dat hij, bij 't heuglijkst gunstgenot
Uw heilig Sion moog' bewonen
Vers 2
Die in zijn wandel zich oprecht
En wars betoont van valse streken;
Zijn aandacht aan Uw wetten hecht;
Zich op de deugd met ijver legt,
En waarheid met zijn hart blijft spreken.
Vers 3
Die met zijn tong niet achterklapt;
Geen kwaad doet aan zijn metgezellen;
Niet in het spoor van laster stapt;
Maar, zo men iemands eer vertrapt,
Dien smaad wil horen noch vertellen.
Vers 4
Wiens oog verworpenen veracht,
Maar hen eerbiedigt, die God vrezen;
Die zich voor roek'loos zweren wacht,
Doch 't geen hij zweert, getrouw betracht,
Al zou 't hem ook tot schade wezen.
Vers 5
Die nooit zijn geld op woeker geeft;
Die, d' onschuld en het recht genegen;
Het oog op geen geschenken heeft.
Wie dus oprecht en deugdzaam leeft,
Zal nimmer wank'len op zijn wegen.

Psalm 15
1 A Psalm of David.
LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
3 [He that] backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. [He that] sweareth to [his own] hurt, and changeth not.
5 [He that] putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these [things] shall never be moved.
